Tia's Testimonials

I can't say enough good things about Tia. 95% of my labor was at home and I walked throughout my house almost the whole time. Tia was right there by my side the entire time. Counter-pressure made a huge difference for me and she was ready to help me through each contraction. She was quiet and let me stay in my zone, but I knew she was right there ready to help in any way possible. That helped me stay calm and focused. We got to the hospital at the very end of my labor, so my contractions were very intense at that point. My husband had to go park the car and then finish my registration at the front desk. I don't know what I would have done if Tia hadn't been there to help me get changed and settled into the triage room. Constant support and counter-pressure was vital for me at that point and if I didn't have a doula I would have been in "panic mode" and miserable.
I had a beautiful, non-medicated birth and I am so thankful for Tia's support.

Tia is an amazing doula! Both Jason and I can attest to Tia's knowledge and ability in comforting me through the labor and delivery process. This was our first pregnancy and we both wanted to have an experienced and encouraging coach to help us along the way. Tia was helpful in educating us on what to expect throughout my entire pregnancy, especially during the final weeks. I was able to understand more about the child birth process itself and even what to expect postpartum. This helped me tremendously! I had a few nights in the beginning where I felt frustrated and upset, or I felt like I wasn't doing something right as a new mommy. A few phone calls to Tia allowed me to understand this was perfectly normal and there is nothing I was doing wrong and that it takes a new baby and mother a little bit to adjust to everything. By week 3 I was getting on a schedule and things were coming natural to me and getting easier every day. Tia was available anytime I had questions and helped me to understand all the different steps of pregnancy and delivery and that I had options. It was nice to know some things during labor could be customized to my own preference. She suggested things to help cope with contractions and set a really relaxing mood. She was there to keep me calm and focused during the whole process. I was able to not worry about the little things and actually enjoy welcoming baby Logan into this world. Having her there allowed Jason to focus on me and the baby. Like any first time mommy, I was scared and nervous, but in the end Tia's encouragement helped give me the strength to have what I considered to be a pretty painless and quick delivery. When I thought I couldn't do it, she was there to tell me I was in the home stretch.
It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend having her at your birth.

Tia was an extremely important part of my natural labor and delivery process. I was in labor for 39 hours! She was present for most of it and so helpful. Like most first time moms, I was scared, anxious, nervous, and overwhelmed with emotions, but she brought a very calm and reassuring energy into the room. During labor, she was willing to do whatever I asked or needed, like fanning, massaging, breathing exercises, and positioning. She had great ideas to keep me comfortable, such as sitting and rocking on a large yoga ball. She held my hand as I waddled to and from the jacuzzi tub, desperate for pain relief. When it came time to push, she was very supportive and encouraging, even through my screams, reminding me to breathe and stay focused. Tia's energy was soothing, calming, and peaceful throughout the whole process. Now that she is a wonderful mother herself, she is also experienced and knowledgable to support the entire family unit through this amazing miracle of
bringing life into this world, the way God intended.
